After the polls, what?


Warsaw – Bogdan Borusewicz, Marshal (Speaker) of the Senate of Poland, during a meeting with the UAE Ambassador to Poland, Dr. Yousuf Isa Al Sabri, has applauded the experiment of the Federal National Council elections abroad as carefully planned.

The meeting discussed the vital role of the UAE embassy in enhancing UAE-Poland's ties, notably parliamentary co-operation, in light of the ongoing FNC elections.

The UAE envoy emphasized that the UAE embassy in Warsaw would spare no effort to further bolster bilateral ties, noting that tireless efforts were being exerted to advance parliamentary co-operation and benefit from the Polish experience in this respect.

He said the UAE embassies and diplomatic missions overseas had received voters for the important FNC elections, which he said constitutes the cornerstone for deepening the sense of loyalty of the Emirati citizens for their nation and its democratic principles and values as well as respect for human rights.

Al Sabri expressed his thanks to the government of Poland for its assistance, which he said, had contributed to the success of the electoral process.

Borusewicz lauded the role of the UAE in supporting development and maintaining stability in the region and its constructive steps towards promoting democracy in the UAE.

Expressing satisfaction over the outstanding bilateral ties, Borusewicz hoped for further efforts to scale ties to new heights, emphasizing Poland's readiness to co-operate in the parliamentary field.
