OIC convenes high-level meeting on situation in Yemen

JEDDAH-- Considering the critical developments on the security and humanitarian fronts in Yemen, and following the announcement of the end of operation Decisive Storm and the start of Operation Restoring Hope, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is planning to hold an extraordinary meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Member States. 

The meeting will be held at the level of foreign ministers at the request of the legitimate leadership of Yemen to discuss the latest developments concerning the current situation in Yemen and future perspectives. 

The OIC is working to hold the meeting during the first half of the coming month of May. -end-
