Emirati jetfighters pound Yemen rebel areas

ABU DHABI --The UAE jetfighters continued launching air strikes against a number of strongholds of Houthis in line with Operation Decisive Storm being implemented by the Arab Coalition to protect the people of Yemen and their legitimate government from the coup plotters and the Houthi armed group.

The airstrikes targeted weapons and radar depots as well as missile launchers of the air defence system Sam 2, 3 and 6.

In the north of Hodeidah, the jetfighters targeted the Katyusha rockets depots in Aden. The UAE jetfighters also bombed mountain tunnels meant for storing arms and ammunitions. During the mission, the jetfighters conducted air refuelling from the Airbus planes of the Air Force and Air Defence, allocated for this purpose. The jetfighters returned safely to their bases.

Since March 26, the Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia has been bombarding a number of Houthi military sites in response to a call by the President of Yemen, Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi, to intervene militarily to protect the people of Yemen and their legitimate government.
