Thirsty Tanzanians to enjoy fresh water, thanks to UAE



NGORONGORO, TANZANIA- The UAE Ambassador to Tanzania Abdullah Ibrahim Al Suwaidi has commissioned 45 water wells in Loliondo division in Tanzania's Ngorongoro District. 

The wells were dug as part of the UAE Water Aid (Suqia) initiative.

Al Suwaidi announced that an additional 15 wells will be drilled as part of the initiative, launched by Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Present at the commissioning were Tanzanian Tourism Minister Lazaro Nyalandu, Saeed Suhail Al Mazrouei, representative of the UAE Red Crescent Authority, senior Tanzanian officials and citizens of the district.

Minister Nyalandu thanked the UAE for the continuous support to the people of Tanzania and said the project reflected the excellent relations between the two countries and strong friendship between their leaders.

The UAE Ambassador also visited Loliondo elementary school and hospital and announced drilling of two wells there. –end-
