Food to be provided to fasting people in 56 countries during Ramadan

PARIS -- The UAE Embassy in France has started implementing Iftar Project from the first day of the holy month of Ramadan 2015. The project is funded by the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation (KF), in cooperation with a number of mosques and Islamic institutions in Paris and its suburbs.

The UAE Embassy in Paris, in cooperation with the KF, is keen on meeting the needs of the fasting people in Ramadan by distributing Ramadan bags which carry food stuff for the underprivileged and needy people.

The embassy also oversees Iftar Project through holding Iftar meals and putting up Ramadan tents.

The Iftar Project, implemented by the KF, is being carried out in more than 56 countries including France. Beneficiaries extended thanks and appreciation for the humanitarian gesture. Administrations of mosques and Islamic and social centres praised the efforts exerted by the UAE on such occasions and events. –end-
