ABU DHABI -- H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin
Khalifa Al Nahyan, Executive Council Member, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Retirement
Pensions and Benefits Fund for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, has said that UAE Flag
Day is a day when national spirit is renewed and one to reflect on the
achievements of the era of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al
Nahyan.
In a speech given on the occasion of
Flag Day, which will be marked tomorrow, November 3rd, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin
Khalifa said that President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa, along with Vice
President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed
bin Rashid Al Maktoum, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown
Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and
Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates,
completed the march of the union, resulting in the UAE reaching the highest
echelons and competing with nations built centuries ago.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa said that
raising the UAE Flag this year will especially resonate with feelings of pride
as it was used to wrap the bodies of the young martyrs who gave up their lives
in order to maintain the security, stability and cohesion of countries in the
region.
