ABU DHABI - The total value of deals announced during the
first two days of the ongoing Dubai Air Show 2015, reached around US$ 70
million, according to Major General Abdullah al Sayed Al Hashemi, Chief of the
Military Committee and the UAE Armed Forces Spokesman at the show.
In an interview with the 'Nation
Shield' Journal, Al Hashemi expected the total value of deals will rise to US$
100 billion by Thursday, the closing day of the show. In 2013, the deals
accounted for over US$ 200 billion.
"In 2013 Air Show, there were
large requirements. Ideally, such requirements have been satisfied by now so it
is normal to see this drop in 2015," he noted.
Al Hashemi, however, predicted that the
deals of Dubai Air Show 2017 will hit the US$300 billion mark.
