Remembering the fallen

AJMAN – H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman today laid the foundation stone for the Martyrs Square and Memorial in Ajman, in commemoration of the Emirati servicemen who fell while performing their national duty of defending the nation and supporting the oppressed.
"The heroic sacrifices of our martyrs will go down in history as a source of pride to our nation. They will be remembered as a symbol of noble sacrifice in support of the righteousness and in defense of the people of brotherly Yemen," Sheikh Humaid said.
The square and memorial were ordered built in Ajman by Sheikh Humaid as a symbol that reminds the generations of the sacrifices made by the sons of the UAE.
"The square and memorial are also an expression of gratitude to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Their highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates for the continuous care and attention given to the families of the martyrs," Sheikh Humaid said.
He prayed to Allah Almighty to bless the martyrs' souls with mercy in Paradise and eternal peace in Paradise and to grant his family patience and solace to bear their loss.
