In Africa, children with congenital heart anomalies can now avail of open-heart surgery

Humanitarian Forum has announced the launch of the first mobile hospital for Paediatric-cardiology in Africa in accordance with sophisticated devices for open-heart surgeries and catheter operations.
The hospital will provide diagnostic, therapeutic, surgical and preventive services for the needy children with congenital heart anomalies in the African continent, starting from Egypt, Sudan and Eritrea under the supervision of a group of voluntary senior doctors and surgeons.
A number of voluntary organisations from five Arab countries, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Egypt and Sudan have contributed to the launch of the initiative which represents a great role model for humanitarian work and community partnership.
Dr. Adel Al Shamri, CEO of the Zayed Giving Initiative said that this mobile hospital will work under supervision of a team of representatives from several local and Arab voluntary institutions, including the Zayed Giving Initiative and the Dar Al Ber Society. –End-
