Forum tackles Excellence
The Directorate General of Finance and Support
Services at the Ministry of Interior has organised its third annual event to
honour the outstanding strategic suppliers and partners. The forum was held at
the St. Regis Hotel in Abu Dhabi, under the slogan ‘Because You Are Excellent’.
Major General Salem Al Shamesi, Director-General of Finance
and Services at MoI, said, "The successes achieved by the Ministry at the end of each strategic cycle
and the governmental excellence are a direct product of the concerted efforts
of a unified work team. The integration and interaction amongst this team have
helped us to achieve excellence and quality in leadership in a bid to achieve
the vision, mission, and objectives of the Ministry of Interior."
In his speech, he said, "This forum represents a link of communication between the employees, the
leadership, partners and suppliers and is a platform of discussion and dialog
about the common topics of interest. Through the contribution of opinion
regarding such topics, the forum contributes to the overall performance and
development, elevating performance to the highest levels. This forum
exemplifies the keenness of the police leadership to support the march of
excellence and innovation, and to show appreciation for the employees in order
to increase their levels of satisfaction and motivation to further elevate
police work."
The forum was attended by Mariam Mohammad Al Amiri, Assistant
Under-Secretary for the Management of Financial Resources, Mohamed Rashid Al Za’abi, Under-Secretary of the State Audit Institution, Colonel
Hamad Khamis Al Dhaheri, Deputy Director-General of Finance and Services,
directors of departments, division heads and a number of senior officers at the
Directorate General of Finance and Support Services at the Ministry of Interior.
Major Mohamed Al Hasawi, Chairman of the Organising
Committee, pointed out that the forum is motivation for all the employees of
the Directorate to give, to work, innovate, and foster an atmosphere of
competition in order to elevate performance to the highest levels. -END-
